ordered the xl way its to big on the waist which has elastic in it good job it has the drawcord so far that’s the only fault I should have gone the large size good gym shorts

Whilst I would normally take a size M in underwear and trousers I find that I usually need to go to L with shorts which are often otherwise too tight with an M especially ones with zips & buttons/closures. Even though these are casual loose fit shorts with no closure an elasticated waistband and a drawcord I still reckoned it would be safer to go for an L. The gamble has paid off as the fit around the waist is good on account of which I have ranked these as “fit as expected”. However having said that I think that the legs are on the large and baggy side even taking into account them being larger than my usual size. Ideally they wouldn’t be so roomy so that I wouldn’t look quite so much like an 1880’s footballer in a sepia photograph. Apart from this personal aesthetic these are good quality shorts which are very comfortable to wear and they will definitely get a lot of use.

These shorts by New Balance are perfect for this summer! I’ve been wearing them for the last few days and have refused to let them out of my sight. They are so comfortable and the material is lightweight with some thickness to ensure you’re kept cool throughout the day. However the subtle thickness also ensures that your thighs are kept a little warm in the evening after having fun in the sun all day.I really love the simplicity of these yet how stylish they are. The new balance logo is embroidered onto the side of the shorts in white and this pairs beautifully on the tracksuit styled shorts. Not too loud in design but people will know it’s there! Soft and comfortable material and washes very well. Overall 5 stars!!Thank you for reading my honest review I hope you found it helpful! 🙂

I’m a 36” waist and usually get size ‘L’ in this type of shorts I’m pleased to say that these fit as I’d hoped that they would. They are a loose fit and are great as casual wear or for just ‘knocking about the house’ – please note that they are like sports shorts so there is no zipper at the front.The shorts are made from a soft fleece type material and they are of a good quality with all the stitching in place and with no loose threads. They are a good length (I personally don’t like them to be too short) and they are very comfortable. I’m very happy with these New Balance shorts they’ll get a lot of use when it gets warmer out.
