My previous shoes (asics Kayano) wore out after years of running. In the end my calf muscles started to suffer as well as my feet started to develop blisters. So a new pair of running shoes was in order. I stopped timing myself a few years back so I decided against a new pair of Kayano’s. Instead I decided on the ASICS Gel-Cumulus 22 due to their extra cushioning. I have done a few days running in them now and overall I am pleased. 2 weeks ago l felt a little pull on my calf with the older kayano’s. A few days running the new ASICS in and I feel no sign of the strain on my calf. So overall I am pleased with the purchase. The shoes also arrived in a timely fashion. I have not given 5 stars since I have not had the shoes long enough to judge them properly at the moment.

Through a bit of Research the Cumulus 22 are the shoes for a Natural Gait something to do with the way your heel to toe lands when running. So perfect fit. Thought I had to buy s half size up but not with Asics fit just right.

The sizing for the Cumulus 22 is slightly different to the Cumulus 21. The 22 is slightly longer and a little wider. It is also more “pointy”. I did prefer the fit of the Cumulus 21 better.

Great pair of runners as always from Asics.Good cushioning and stability.

Asics fans will be pleased. A good all rounder trainer that priotises miles and comfort over speed. Do your “training” in these and consider another shoe for your pb parkrun/race day.
